At the distillery, we’ve always believed great gin should do good — not just for your taste buds, but for the planet too. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our latest sustainability initiative: the Bottle for Life.
What Is the Bottle for Life?
In a nutshell, it’s exactly what it sounds like: a bottle designed to last you a lifetime.
Bring your empty bottle back to our distillery, we'll refill it straight from our demi-john range and offer a generous loyalty refill price. You’ll save money, reduce waste, and help us build a more sustainable future — one refill at a time.
How It Works
Getting started is simple:
- Purchase a “New Bottle” — available for delivery or Click & Collect.
- When it’s empty, bring it back to the distillery.
- Choose the “Refill” option to top it up and save £5.
Refills are available in person only (we like to see your smiling faces and offer a sample or two while you’re here). It’s our small way of saying thank you for supporting local while staying sustainable.
Why We Created the Bottle for Life
We love refill pouches and other eco-ideas, but there’s a hidden problem: most of them still rely on non-recyclable plastic. Multi-layered packaging and certain inks make them difficult — often impossible — to recycle. That’s why we wanted to go one step further and cut plastic out of the equation altogether for when it makes sense.
The Bottle for Life eliminates single-use packaging entirely (the recyclable heat seal is optional). You keep your bottle, we refill it — and together, we make zero waste.
No Waste. No Guilt. Just Great Gin.
When you refill your bottle, there’s no waste. None. Zero. Zilch.
If you fancy trying a different gin, we’ll swap out the small label that identifies the variety and strength. The only waste then is a tiny, recyclable label no bigger than a 20p coin. And if your bottle ever needs a little makeover, we can refresh the full label for you — the waste from that is still smaller than a walnut. Not bad for a bottle that lives forever.
Designed for Reuse — and for you
Your Bottle for Life is easy to reuse and easy to recycle. The labels peel off without fuss, the glass is durable and elegant, and every refill keeps one more piece of packaging out of landfill or incineration. Glass is not easy to make or recycle - it takes a lot of energy - so every reuse is a victory.
And, if, someday, your bottle’s journey must end, its glass and paper can be cleanly separated and recycled — giving it one more life yet.
